Listening skills form an essential component of IELTS. We come across many participants who are comfortable in other components of IELTS – such as reading, writing and speaking – but they feel little uncomfortable with listening. Even in general parlance, you might be knowing a number of people who read English newspaper and speak English but they cannot understand English movies or songs. It becomes of vital importance to pay special attention esp. for Pakistani students who are preparing for IELTS exam because the difference in accent becomes a stumbling block for them. We use various teaching methods to help an aspirant become comfortable with the various accents used in English language. With the training, the candidates improve their listening skills in English. With this training their comprehension becomes better while watching / listening to any content in English such as movies, drama, songs, news, etc. But just that is not sufficient. Our main objective is to help an aspirant to score high band in IELTS and that is where we have created a niche for ourselves being one of the finest IELTS institutes in Pakistan.

For this purpose, we focus on developing a candidate’s ability to attempt the IELTS exam style questions correctly and hence obtain a good score in IELTS. Various simulated audio recordings are being used to train the participants in enhancing their English listening skills. Our experienced trainers then leverage this skill to attempt the IELTS exam correctly. Some candidates who are not comfortable with the foreign accent but otherwise good in English language, in the initial attempts, fail to comprehend the language or provide correct answers. But with the continuous support of our experienced faculty they start excelling on both – the listening skills as well as correct attempt of the IELTS exam. We offer various exam oriented exercises to the students to help them excel in listening.

These exercises may be based on a situation whereby the candidate is able to relate to some everyday social context. It may present a conversation between two speakers (for instance, a conversation about a city and its culture), or a monologue (for instance, a speech about the impact of social media on children). It may present a situation whereby the candidates learn to deal with situations set in educational and training contexts. There may be a conversation between two main speakers (for instance, a discussion between a university professor and a student), and a monologue on some academic subject. Even the practice sessions are based on the IELTS exam. The candidates are allowed to hear the recordings only once. We have a collection of recordings having a range of accents, including British, American, Australian, New Zealand, and Canadian. We even offer a variety of question types that are relevant for the IELTS exam and these include – multiple choice questions (MCQs), summary completion, flow-chart, matching columns, sentence completion, diagram labelling, etc. This is what makes us one of the best IELTS institutes in Peshawar.

Speaking is an integral form of oral communication and so it is for the IELTS exam. It is so because visiting an English speaking nation – for study or work – would in any case require one to express one’s thoughts and emotions in English. An important question that candidates very often ask us is “I speak English since my childhood then why Do I need training in English speaking” or “I have already done an English speaking course earlier. Would I still require IELTS speaking training?”. We make them understand the difference between IELTS English Speaking and Normal English Speaking. One major difference between the two is the ability to convey in an internationally accepted manner to a wide range of audience. The objective normal English speaking, at least in India, is just to convey your thoughts to people who are generally aware of multiple vernacular (local) accents spoken within India. These become a deterrence in an international environment. While the objective of IELTS speaking is to convey to an international audience.

We are one of the finest IELTS training centers in Peshawar because our internationally trained faculty is experienced in helping candidates in hitting the nail in IELTS speaking – accent neutralization. We come across many IELTS aspirants who come from different parts of the country and there is a regional touch in spoken accent. The first task to achieve is to neutralize their regional accent and to incorporate some universally acceptable accent. Moreover, IELTS is a formal proficiency test designed and conducted by international organisations. Hence it is very comprehensive in nature and there are three defined levels of evaluation – Introduction & interview; Long turn; and Discussion.

Our expert trainers very well understand the examination pattern and train the candidates in a simulated manner. The IELTS Speaking test consists of an oral interview between the examiner and the candidate. All speaking tests are recorded by the examining body. The examiner starts by introducing herself/himself and then the test taker introduces herself/himself. We train the candidates to deal with a wide variety of speaking topics which may include some general questions on some familiar topics such as work, studies, home, family and interests. One aspect that the candidate must know about the real IELTS exam is that the examining body wants to ensure consistency in the exam and hence it provides a set of predefined scripts from where the questions are taken. We

Since the key evaluation criterion in IELTS speaking is based on the ability of the candidate to communicate various thoughts and opinions. Hence we train candidates on developing this skill to communicate information and opinions on everyday topics or situations or common experiences by way of answering a range of questions. Once this basic level has been cleared by the candidates then they are trained to enhance their speaking ability to speak at length on a given topic. Moving ahead, the training emphasizes on developing the candidate’s ability to express and justify opinions. A candidate must also learn to analyse, discuss and speculate about the given topic.

Purpose of the IELTS Writing test is to assess a wide range of writing skills, including how well an aspirant can write an appropriate response; organise ideas; and use a range of correct vocabulary and grammar. There are two different versions of IELTS writing viz. IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training. The assessment objective and hence the subject matter of the two types of tests is different. To some aspirants academic writing is applicable while to some general training writing. For both types of aspirants, we provide IELTS classes in Rohini. We have expertise in both the modules of writing.

Academic Writing

IELTS Academic writing generally involves two tasks. Our trainers provide more than adequate training of both the tasks. Whatever the task is, it must be remembered one must write complete paragraphs and writing in bullet points attracts penalty. The answers must be written within the word limit of 150 words or 250 words, as the case may be.

First type of task in academic writing is to describe some visual information.

In this case, some visual information is provided in the form of a graph, a table, a chart, or a diagram. The candidates are supposed to describe the given information in their own words. The description should be written in a formal (academic) or a semi-formal style. One must include the most crucial and relevant aspects, given in the diagram. They must not be skipped while some minor points or details may be left out.

Our trainers help the aspirants in acquiring this skill and on the course of this journey full of learning they start identifying the most important points in a diagram, a graph or a process flow chart. Then they are trained to write an original text because plagiarism is penalized in the IELTS exam. If a test taker resorts to plagiarism, it impacts her/his band score. Our study material is so comprehensive that if practiced well helps the candidates score a high band score in IELTS writing. It makes us one of the most preferred IELTS classes in Peshawar.

Second type of task in academic writing is to respond to an argument or a point of view or a problem.

For completing this task of writing there is no standard format or writing pattern. This task requires the candidate to write answers keeping in mind the relevance and coherence. A candidate must ensure that s/he read the task very carefully and provide a response which is most suitable and relevant. For instance, the task is to write on a particular aspect of health and fitness, then the candidate should provide an answer which focuses on that very particular aspect of health and fitness rather than writing a general essay on health and fitness. This is what makes IELTS writing different from school/college writing. Some school or college examination boards may become liberal and yet award some marks for writing a general content. But the candidates are penalized for writing irrelevant answers. Relevance to the topic is an essential component of this task in IELTS writing. During the initial days of training many candidates provide general answers and with the continuous support and critical feedback of our expert faculty they start writing relevant to the topic.
